Old mine "lao pit" carved in the old way Burmese jadeite bangle bracelet.  Size is 57.5mm inside diameter, 15.5mm wide.  It is carved with Phoenix, (symbol of Yin and Woman), Lotus (symbol of spirituality), Flowers (yin, woman) and lucky coins for good fortune.  Soft green all around with darker green veins.  This is made in the "old way" where the jade carver studies the jade to decide what and how he will carve.  Then on an auspicious day, he starts his jade carving.  Rare to find this old "lao pit" jadeite and carving style today.

Purchased directly from the jade carver near the Burma border during our shopping trip in China in 2002.  Tested by refraction, genuine and natural grade A Burmese jadeite.
