A very old vintage Dynasty Chinese jade teapot and tea cups set. Size is 8" long, 5" wide and 3.75" high The teacups are 2" across the tops and 1" high. Purchased during my first shopping trip in 200 in China from a government jade museum near Xinjiang where jade has been mined and carved for centuries. The history is that it was carved in the 19th century. This jade is like the "river jade" that gets the deep green, honey and charcoal from the river where the jade is mined, so it is genuine and natural color jade. The jade teapot and cups were well polished and still look very good. The teapot is heavy and substantial. The actual jade teapot set is more pretty than the photos show. Photos taken in natural outdoor light at different angles so you can see how the natural color varies in different lighting.
