"Lotus and Lucky Coins" carved around this "old mine" Burmese jadeite bangle bracelet. Size is 60 mm inside diameter, 12.8 mm wide. This is one of those traditionally carved bangles that the jade carver studies the stone until he decides how he will carve it. The coloring is genuine and natural, and very good almost imperial green veins along with darker green. It is moderately translucent, rare for carved jade bangles. You will have fun exploring the tiny carvings all around. It is well polished, icy cold to the touch There appear to be some clarification lines inside that are not cracks, just the way the jade forms to take the pressure off the hard stone. We are offering a low price because it is unique, coloring usually is very expensive for the imperial green veins, but some people haven't experienced that clarification lines do not reduce the strength, they make it stronger.
Purchased during Ying Yu Jade shopping trip in China in 2003 directly from the jade carver near the Burma border.
Tested by refraction, genuine Burmese jadeite.
