Purchased from a Chinese family estate, set of two jadeite bangle bracelets, one carved and one smooth. The carved jadeite bangle is 57.5mm inside diameter, flat inside, 9.2mm wide. The carving includes a bat, symbol of happiness, lucky coins and flowers all around. The carving is very detailed and slightly raised to show off the carving but not be too high to chip easily. The smooth jadeite bangle is 57.5mm inside diameter, flat inside and 10mm wide. It is translucent, mostly white with soft hues of green. There is no damage, cracks or chips. "Sister" or "companion" jade bangle bracelets were often worn together, or one on each wrist. Rare to find two jade bangles carved to be worn together.
