Policies
for Ying Yu Jade
The Policies in the "shopping cart" automated store are
up-to-date and supercede policies below, click
to review. A brief summary of policies are below:
Shipping
US Shipping:
US order will be shipped by USPS mail with delivery confirmation. All
orders shipped at the discretion of Ying Yu Jade, shipped best way for
type of order. During free shipping and sales, items may be shipped
first class mail.
Insurance for Loss and Damage:
Items are insured, unless you reside in a country where USPS insurance is not available. I use a private insurance carrier, not the US postal service for insurance. Item are considered "lost" when they have not been received in 25 days for domestic and 45 days for international. When you provide the requested documentation for loss after the required number of days, your order will be replaced , or given as store credit, at YYJ discretion.The insurance carrier may require additional information from the customer to process and validate the claim, and refunds are made only when all information required is provided by customer, usually within 2-4 weeks.
Damage must be reported to YYJ within 24 hours of receipt of parcel. Read below
Chargebacks
will not be tolerated if you do not wait the required number of days.
Chargebacks will incur a $50 service fee.
Damage:If your shipment is damaged, you will be provided the
insurance receipt to claim compensation. Be sure to keep the damaged
item and all packing material until the claim is paid. Please read
the section about "if your items is damaged" below.
Domestic
Shipping and Handling Rates
Add items to your shopping cart, log in, and shipping charges will show
based on your order
Overnight delivery is Express Mail available at extra cost
you can add on when you check out. The fee is in addition to the standard
shipping fee.
Delivery confirmation signature required for orders $150+ and credit card orders when card code not provided or doesn't match.
International
Shipping: Orders
less than $138 USD shipping cost $10 for airmail, 2-3 weeks for delivery.
There is an option to upgrade your shipping to EMS express mail approx
5 business days for delivery. It is an add on charge, in additon to
the standard shipping. Orders priced more than $138 will be shipped
USPS international EMS with tracking and insurance. If your order is
heavy, additional shipping charge may be added.
International orders shipped with insurance will show the actual value of the items on the customs forms and you may be responsible for VAT or customs tax. If you refuse your parcel, or do not claim your parcel when you receive notification from your postal service, your parcel may be disposed of by your postal service and you will not receive a refund from Ying Yu Jade. If your parcel is returned as "unclaimed" to Ying Yu Jade, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from any eligible refund, and will be subject to the restocking fees (see below), which may result in no refund or an additional credit card charge. You are encouraged to monitor the progress of your international order and claim it promptly and pay any apllicable VAT as your country requires
Returns
Please follow all instruction for returns/exchanges exactly as instructed. Failure to return as instructed will result in $25 additional return fee due to cost of handling your return in an unauthorized manner.
You must contact yingyujade@yingyujade.com to receive a return authorization which must be written on the outside of the box and on your invoice with the returned items. Please read additional information below

Bracelets
Helpful information about
finding your bangle bracelet size is found on this web site. However,
a bracelet that you can't wear because it doesn't fit is not going to
make you happy, so please contact me immediately if you need to exchange
for another size. Buyer will be responsible for shipping for the return
and the exchange. There is a $35 processing fee for exchanges of bangle
bracelets item #NJ and $50 for all others Exchange must be completed
within 10 days. You must have return authorization. For domestic exchanges,
your exchange bangle will be shipped to you with a pre-paid mailer to
return the original bangle. You will be charged for the exchange bangle
and shipping, and then receive your refund when the original bangle
is received.
Due to the increased charges from banks to accept and/or refund your credit card, refunds are in store credit only, and you will receive a coupon code to use within 30 days.
Returns without exchange
incur a 20% restocking fee and the return must be completed within 10
days of sale. You must have an authorization for a return. Refunds
are in store credit only, and you will receive a coupon code to
use within 30 days.
No returns or exchanges on clearance jade, and estate/trade-in jade. Sales are final for these items. See "other returns" below for additional items. Personal products not returnable for health reasons: ben wa balls, jade rollers, jade combs, gua sha tools. Daily Special sales are final, and items which you receive a special discount are sold as final.
Most sellers do not allow returns for bangles. The reason for this is that sometimes they are returned with damage that the seller doesn't notice until it is being relisted. Also, each bangle is one of a kind and it is costly and time consuming to return a bangle to the web site and shopping cart system. Please choose your bangle bracelet carefully and contact me if you have any questions
If your item is damaged:
I double-check jade items before I ship them to make sure they do not have cracks. If they are damaged in shipment, I will provide you with the insurance receipt so you can make a claim. I ship bangles priced higher than $50 with insurance. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused because I will not accept returns of bangles that are claimed to be cracked when they are received. Any damage is considered to have happened during shipping. Do not return damaged items for credit, refund or replacement unless you are instructed. You must make a damage claim with the instructions I send you for a refund. Refund will be Ying Yu Jade store credit and you can choose a replacement. The insurance carrier may require additional information from the customer to process and validate the claim, and refunds are made only when all information required is provided, usually within 2-4 weeks
Some items priced under $50 are not sent insured. If your shipment is not insured, and there is damage, contact me immediately at yingyujade@yingyujade.com
Other returns
If you must
return an item, you need to contact
me prior to returning for an authorization. Buyer is responsible
for shipping charges. Returns must be completed within 10 days. There
is a 35% processing/restocking fee for returned items with a minimun
exchange fee for $10. except for bangles (see above).
If you send me an item that was not purchased from Ying Yu Jade, and
ask for a "refund", I will keep the item for 30 days before
disposing of it. If I receive a damaged item, I will not issue a refund.
I check every item before I ship it, and it is shipped to you exactly
as described.
No returns on personal items including rollers, gua sha tools, combs, and ben wa balls.
If you return an item without contacting for instructions, or ship by a method not specified with return instructions, there will be a $25 service charge.
Shipping charges are not refundable.
Chargebacks are not tolerated. Chargebacks resolved in favor of YYJ will incur a service charge of $50.
Canceled Orders
Ying Yu Jade ships fast so you can get your items as soon as possible. In general, canceled orders are handled as stated om the returns policy.
Any orders that are returned to Ying Yu Jade that are unclaimed, or unopened and "returned to sender" will be charged 50% restocking fee.
A note about carved jade bangle bracelets: The material used for carved jade bangle bracelets is often a jade bangle that has a small crack. The carving disguises the crack. Carving adds additional stress to the jade, and you may see some small cracks or stress marks. These cracks or stress marks do not compromise the durability of the bracelet. You may also see a a scratch or indentation where the bracelet was held during the carving. These are not considered defects.
